Yeah, they were crazy over-protective about the memory cards after the PSP was hacked to pieces. Still far too much to ask though, convenience is kind of a big deal for handheld gamers.
Currently rocking a 64GB card I had to import from flipping HK. Sony really did screw the pooch there.
Can it be both?
Loads of my mates are either angry or disappointed by the Vita, but I'm a fan of JRPGs I'm absolutely loving it. Still aggravated that Sony are giving it so little love though - why weren't Ready At Dawn making a GoW game for it instead of The Order?
Well, money I guess. It's actually a good decision but bugs the heck out of me as a Vita owner.
Oh go on then. I'll buy it if I see it for around the £20-25 mark, so long as reviews and streams look relatively fun.
Looks like it could be cheap and dirty fun, actually. Will keep an eye on it.
Actually that's the point of the article - I think you might have just jumped to conclusions after reading the headline...
Not sure I *entirely* agree. Usually the media comes under fire for being too 'soft' and not asking tough questions, so seeing the opposite is actually kinda refreshing.
However, there's a difference between being incisive and being an arse. A line that's very easily crossed, and may have definitely been sprinted over in that Molyneux interview.
Mind you, it's very difficult to tell tone from written transcripts. It's more than likely ...
@JackVagina: "Oh, had she been bad or something?"
Oh come on, that was kinda funny. Better than the usual softly-softly ass kissing that we often see in interviews.
Looking forward to this immensely. I love that we'll finally be able to get INTO an anime franchise's universe as a character in our own right, not just as a player.
Hmm, haven't agreed or disagreed, but I do feel that Sony deserved a bit of a dressing down about DriveClub was handled even if things are on the up.
Either way, I still want the PS+ version, even if it's just as a way of showing off the graphics before deciding whether or not to upgrade.
Can't wait, played some expo builds too. So shiny and doesnt have a window-licking penalty system!
Not entirely true ( http://n4g.com/news/1671413... but I do agree, Evolve got off lightly. Partly down to the fact that many reviews forget that games cost money and don't even think about value.
ScreamRide's approach is actually quite novel, as you can deform the track as you lay it - a bit like a pasta machine I guess. Still, though, I agree, the PC usually makes games like this more intuitive and precise, plus let's face it, ScreamRide is screaming out for Oculus Rift support.
I don't think that's really the point (at least not of the article). Still it's a fun experiment!
Personally don't play Candy Crush, but I did used to be addicted to Puzzle Quest. Which would have been worth about a year's salary!
Pretty hard to argue with that really.
Quality is the biggest part of value, but quantity does matter and should be factored into RRPs.
Haha, right with you. I know that "there's no excuse for splooshing £40 on a new game really" especially when value is often incredibly ropey.
And yet, I do like to play games on day one. Just have to try and pick the right games - for example, previewers flagged up issues The Order 1886 well ahead of time and plenty of people dodged that bullet.
Nice, that's a good position to take.
"Upon the release of a new game, publishers will always take advantage of those that eager."
True, but think that really ought to change. Both of these games tried to flog fans content that wasn't worth £50+ for £50+, and in the case of Evolve, it then tries to sell even more. Different pricing strategies or just straight-up lower RRPs might have been the way forward IMO
Some decent tips here, seems like The Order has some gameplay afte all!
Yeah, here's hoping. Meaning that it'll be a nice crisp tenner by the time I get around to buying it after Bloodborne and Batman.
Oh now that's more like it.
It has a lot to do with the fact that Vita games are very expensive to make. Quality Vita games = great graphics = big money, whereas 3DS games can be developed on a shoestring budget. Sony just can't really afford to underwrite that many AAA Vita games...
... gragh, since when should we make excuses for hardware manufacturers! I agree, the Vita needs more games and Sony turtled up when they should have been forging ahead.
"No complaints with my PS4 ...
